very interesting cell in the middle of that helix in you second link, was first thinking it might be a blood vessel, but on second glance it has lots of buttons so some kind of huge cell.
Hoooooly neuron that’s a beauty…drools in bouton
Not 100% sure, but those might be collagen fibers:
I’ve got one of those in my huge task so if I have an excuse to stop tracing all these and just focus on all of its many mergers that would make my life a lot easier
It’s fine to leave it in the final link
Think this might be an oligodendrocyte, partly based on these two figures? Still not quite 100% on it, but is closer than some other options I’ve found so far.

Looking into this. That’s one funky bouton!
These are very cool looking! However, it’s not currently a priority to proofread them. So feel free to skip the proofreading, or if you really want to proofread them definitely limit time spent if they have poor segmentation.
Looking into this!
Very cool, searching for answers!
Sorry I have been a bit MIA - I broke my arm last week ugh!!
I’d like to ask, what informations can scientists infer from such a narrow (flat?) dataset? I don’t negate the usefulness of it, not at all. I’m just curious, what can be found by analyzing this data.
P.S. Get well soon, @Amy_R_Sterling !
It’s true that the dataset is slim. Still, it is novel to reconstruct synaptic inputs to the CA3 PyCs. In many cases the axons are distinctive enough to know what cells or brain region the came from. Of particular interest are mossy fibers. Bouton size distribution (connectivity strength) is being analyzed between mossy fibers and PyCs. Vesicles are being segmented as well. We can also analyze in detail the connectivity of the interneurons in the dataset. Zhihao can possibly share more. The preprint is still in progress.
what/how do we label a row/segment in the gsheet if we have a pyramidical cell in there (along with other cells)? Done or something else?
It’s fine to label these as “Done.” I’m going to start a new thread for general help requests as well
we may or may not be out of cell entries in the gsheet
there are still the two demo cells
doesnt M need them for future demo-ying?
