Ok thanks for the tip!
To check if you have identified all the cells you are working on you can copy all the id´s in batches as you go ( i am guessing the best way would be to copy all the id´s after cleaning any unwanted cells from the batch and updating any black lightbulbs. After you have done a bunch of batches you can add all of them too a tab and before they load you can use remove identified. (this way you can have a lot more cells in a tab than your computer can normaly handle. I have used this on 800 R-Cells at the same time) on large batches you will have to use remove identified several times as the cells load. this way you will catch anything not identified, but will ofc not now if it is something you have identified or if someone else have done it, and possible have the wrong label
I am usually waiting a few hours to a day after the last cell is identified to make sure the database is updated before doing this.
Or i guess you could use this metod on the orginal list you have cheecked, but that would probably mean a lot of extra work going trough cells that belong to other labels again.
Or one can add all the cells, but hide them, to prevent from loading large amounts of data and crashing the computer. And then use the Batch Processor’s functionality named “Show statuses & labels” and select “all”. Then just wait a few seconds and scroll through the list. You’ll see not only, if a cell has been labeled, but also, what label (and by whom) it have.
I do have them enabled as a layer, but they are not turned on while I’m doing the ID’ing - I only flip them on briefly when I want to check neuropil positioning of a cell, but with the batches I’m working on, I rarely need to double check this.
Howeeever I just went and tested things again and I think my issue was just not having the mouse over the 3D segment, oops. Don’t know how I ended up doing that last night since I’ve been doing this for a while now, but I guess I was just distracted and goofed it up. Apologies for that, but also good to know about having neuropils on while marking!
Will let you know if I come across any more errors that are hopefully not PEBCAK.
hi it looks like there might be something wrong with the get cells addon, have only tried it now so can be temporary but when pressing - or / i mostlty get only a red qudrant in the corner and no new identified cell in the menu. One time i managed to get it too work but do not think i did anything different.
PS updated the cell to make sure it was latest version, without luck
Did you have your cursor over the cell, you were labeling?
You have to have the cursor over either during that time, or that cell has to be the last one hovered before pressing one of the mentioned keyboard keys.
i did have cursor over the cell in 2d
it should be over the cell in 3D. At least, that’s the way, I was testing it. You don’t even have to have the 2D panel opened.
looks like that is working, thank you for looking in to it
