Just mark it as “Yes”, but no need to paste any segment IDs since it hasn’t changed.
Is anyone else really struggling not to autocomplete the acronym much more rudely every time they type in “MF” for it being a Mossy Fiber? xD
And if you weren’t before and are now… I’m sorry >.>
From the first time I’ve seen the acronym, I always think about Samuel L. Jackson xD
Oh believe me, yes, I absolutely do.
#sorrynotsorry I just had to.
is this considered too small?
lower end of branch ends at dataset, the others nub out pre-dataset end.
No, that’s big enough. It’s when it’s just the bouton and tiny little twig right on the edge that we consider “too small”.
ok, gotcha, thnx.
If we find a mossy fiber that’s not part of the challenge list, do you want us to tack it on at the bottom or discard it?
Wasn’t a merger, just a mis-click that traced out to an MF.
Just discard it. Feel free to proofread it if you’d like (save someone in the future). But it’s highly likely it’s already on our list of Potential MFs.
This list is just 2k out of 58,506 potential MFs btw!
Hence our part 1 on the Challenge tab makes things more manageable.
We’re all part of multi-pronged approach to ensuring we get all these MFs!
give us all 59k we should be done w/ all of them in what? 1 month? lol
Great to hear, that there’s so much more! I really like them (unlike the, sometimes, big mergers with several segments, lol).

is this a mossy fiber
and what about this
they are both connecting with thorny cells, but not really looking like the mossy cells i have seen so far
it is indeed, imo.
if a starting segment ID from gsheet has 2 mossy fibers merged together I trace both and place both IDs in the gsheet?
if we need to split a MF that looks proofread but actually part of it belong on the one we are working on. Should we do something with this, or will you pull up a list of MF without current id to cheek at the end?
what ive been doing, is copy the seg id and ctrl+f on gsheet to see if the id (before I alter it by splitting/adding stuff) is there.
If we get a seg. ID from the gsheet and it ends up being 2 (or more) cells merged and all 2+ cells are MFs, I imagine we trace all 2+ and add all IDs back in gsheet? Or if not how do we know which of the 2+ is the MF in the merger we should trace (and discard the others)?
Because I just got this:
Blue and green segs were merged in 1 and turns out theyre both MFs
According to the blog post, we should proofread all the MFs from the initial merger. As for which one is the “original” one, I guess - the one with the bouton in the initial merger. As what to do with the other IDs - I was told to put them in the Notes in the GSheet.
